Strategic Challenge

Facilities Management Transformation

Supporting this strategy is the Workplace Services Facilities Management Transformation Programme – a global initiative covering all Unilever clusters. The objectives of this programme are to deliver the right FM services at the right cost, while simplifying the complexity of our operations and current incumbent supplier landscape.

An effective implementation of the new contract arrangements, transformation and local changes will be needed to support the region upon selection of the successful supplier(s). Critical to that implementation is effective project management and coordination between Unilever, site leadership and the Supplier(s).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role requires a self starter that can support the formation of a new organisation, manage old and new employees and integrate them into an effective team. Particular focus on relationship building skills, ability to drive performance leading to success of 3rd party suppliers, and drive change in the workplace environment effectively while balancing sensitivities and local nuances.

· Setting up the project governance (status reporting, project controls, meeting schedules, work stream deliverables, success criteria, etc.).
· Manage this project governance through appropriate reporting, risk and issue management and planning.
· Ensuring the implementation is undertaken consistently and effectively in all sites and countries.
· Identifying constraints and mapping dependencies across the project work streams
· Identifying risks and resolving issues and roadblocks
· Sharing best practice and experience to benefit later waves of transformation; this may include relevant training as required.
· Ensuring an effective change management and communications plan is in place and deliver the plan
· Providing the linkage between the Project Steering Committee and the Central and Local implementation teams

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience of delivering multiple Facilities Management transformational projects either from an organisation or physical delivery perspective
· Significant and successful experience of working in a project management role on medium-large scale projects. Some experience/knowledge of relevant functional processes e.g. IT, HR, Workplace
